Christians and political views ~
There are some who believe Christians should not have a voice when it comes to politics, I heartily disagree.
I am still an American and will always want what is best for this country. Being a Christian, a follower of Jesus, only makes my belief in freedoms stronger and my view is more watchful with which God has entrusted us.
You do not have to be a Christian to be used - employed by God, but I believe you have to be a Christian to recognize it.
There are those that are so into their freedoms they do not see that they are losing them. 4/16/2020 VB
A friend made a statement in form of a question this past February, "Don't you think it's odd that we spend millions helping other countries keep out communism / socialism? Yet we have all these Dems - wannabes promoting the very thing we help others fight against.
According to the oath of office they can not be elected because they will not uphold the Constitution. M~
I did find that interesting to say the least and sad that we as a country have come to a place where we are no longer united for the same common good. We certainly have all gone astray and turned to our own way as it says in God's word.
We, all , like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. Lamentations 3:40 NIV
I was told one time, well more than once, "You should not talk about politics or religion!" I can not turn away from who I am or my faith and pretend I am something I am not. For me to ignore the very things that make up me, would be to ignore who God created me to be. For I was created in His image. Genesis 1:27 Though I make mistakes I do take that to heart and it causes me to be a better me. I know some of you out there do not believe the same - "But is that not what makes our home, this country, great?!"
In saying this, it needs to be recognized that this country has been fought for by brave men and women who gave their lives as we celebrate on Memorial Day throughout the years, like those pictured above though they might not have dead in battle, they took the call to serve, defend, and protect our rights as written in our Constitution. I have family I love that gives the perfect example of failing to see the party they have supported for years has up and left them. And we are pivoting between seeking the truth and believing lies. You literally could pick any issue that is out there and not even have to be a conspiracy thinker and I am not talking of disgruntled aristocrats. But men and women that hold the values that were set in motion by our founding fathers to protect us from bigger government that have the power to control placing us under the very ideology of tyranny that our ancestors left and fought hard for the very freedoms we enjoy and could very well loose if we do not stop those who would push us into a socialistic - globalists' vision.
This will take place one day as it states in the Bible, the stage has been set as we witness the ramped hatred, but not yet. What we have all witnessed and experienced (and still) through this "pandemic," is a wakeup call to take an honest look at power given to those who have been voted in causing this country's collapse without batting an eye. :( Even welcoming it. And for those who know me I am not in denial of this virus I don't agree with it being used as a tool out of hatred.
I would ask people to look at everything with an open mind not clouded by hate or the medias opinion / propaganda because of agendas they are supporting. But think of what makes us the greatest country that people who really seeking freedoms desire to have. Not one of evil intent or sorted gain in changing the very articles our Constitution has in place to protect the very rights of Americans.
Let us honor all who served whether at war or in time of peace protecting those values that keep us united and holds us close to God. Vicky
