As I headed out on my walk every morning over the past month or so during Covid-19 people for the most part are in. I walk the entire neighborhood pretty much the same with one side in the morning and the other in the evenings. Sometimes I walk both sides either in the morning or the evenings.
This is generally a busy area. People coming and going with work, shopping and school. Of course the photos were taken yesterday a Sunday morning but this is how it has looked everyday I've walk the past month.
Above are just a few street shots of a morning walk. I do meet a few people occasionally with nice greetings, visa versa. Below shots are evening walks on the other half of the neighborhood. As mentioned some times I walk both sides at once but mostly it is spelt between morning and evening.
As I walk around the neighborhood
it seems so weird to me.
My natural eye can't comprehend
walking the middle of the street.
People are afraid with no one coming out
for fear has gripped them causing doubt.
What is this truly all about; you say?
On my walks each day I pray.
With a thankful heart He is praised.
And,
I do not accept
what some are feeding.
From every angle it seems misleading.
My trust is placed in the Lord.

During my life's journey there have been many seasons I have sought the Lord. I have found that during that time He remained faithful. This is no different. He always come through. On my walks when I do see people and over this time I have seen the same and this gives me an opportunity to share mostly listen. Everyone has concerns and again many are fearful. But God is faithful and I do have a testimony and a confession of faith as to what God has done for me. It is on me to share. How about you?
Yesterday I installed a pedometer on my phone. I was given one several years ago and never took the time to use it - I think I was afraid to see how much I did walk. lol But I really was curious about this time that has been spent with "quarantine."
So I looked at it getting the exact count and averaged over a period of 29 days with today being the 29th.
STEPS 208,692
KCAL 7,071.9 (kilocalorie) -whatever lol
MILES 37.57 (I'm rechecking this) lol
no kidding ~
I went over this several times and am somewhat blown away. I'm also thankful since my knees can be problematic sometimes. I actually used to enjoy running. When Jim and I got married we'd run after work together I miss doing that with Jim. But, I am certain my knees would not like it. I walk for enjoyment but I believe God has me walking prayerfully for a reason. We all can do something and we all have something to thank Him for. Give Him a shout!
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:8-10 EVS
When I think right now of all the prophecies about Jesus, and how He with His disciples walked everywhere living a lifestyle of prayer, preaching and teaching - confessing with their mouths all the Lord has done. We don't necessarily have to walk the dry dusty path but we can share all the Lord has done in our lives and how He has blessed us.
As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" Romans 10:15 EVS (in part).
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!" Isaiah 52:7 BSB
And with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:15
My continued hope and prayer is that others come to know Him and walk in the peace that He can only give.
